Ashley L. Tate

Of Counsel

Ashley Tate represents clients in various employment matters and in business and entertainment disputes in arbitration and state and federal courts, as well as in disputes before the Department of Labor and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. She practices in California, New York and other venues. Ms. Tate handles cases of substantial breadth and depth, with a focus on litigation involving breach of contract claims, partnership disputes, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, harassment and discrimination, and wage and hour violations. Ms. Tate also serves as local counsel in litigation matters, working with out-of-state attorneys to facilitate representation of their clients in California courts and arbitration.

Ms. Tate frequently helps her clients avoid litigation altogether by orchestrating settlements of disputes and guiding them through sensitive negotiations with business partners, employees, employers, competitors and administrative agencies. She works closely with each client throughout the dispute process to develop a case strategy tailored to the client’s best interests. This responsive approach to advocacy gives her substantial leverage to negotiate more favorably on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Tate is admitted to practice law in California and New York. She was designated a “Rising Star” among Southern California lawyers from 2014 through 2019 by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor granted to only 2.5 percent of lawyers below the age of 40.

Ms. Tate graduated from Fordham University School of Law in New York City in 2008, and she received her undergraduate degree in Finance and Banking from The University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude in 2005.
